    About the Role

    Maverick Appraisal Group is seeking a motivated Appraiser Trainee to join our growing team. This role is designed to provide hands-on training and real-world experience in residential real estate appraisal.

    As a trainee, you will work alongside an experienced appraiser to learn how to evaluate property values, analyze market trends, and produce accurate, compliant appraisal reports. You’ll gain exposure to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and the full appraisal process from field inspections to final reporting.

    This position is an excellent entry point for individuals looking to build a long-term career in real estate appraisal. Our goal is to develop your technical skills, market knowledge, and professional judgment while supporting your path toward licensure.

    What You’ll Do

    • Assist a certified appraiser with property inspections, including documenting site conditions, improvements, and neighborhood characteristics

    • Collect and analyze market data such as recent sales, listings, and local trends

    • Support the preparation of appraisal reports in compliance with industry standards and guidelines

    • Maintain organized and accurate records for all appraisal assignments

    • Participate in ongoing training to build knowledge of appraisal methods, tools, and regulations

    Minimum Qualifications

    • College Degree (some college coursework in real estate, finance, or a related field preferred)

    • Basic understanding of real estate terminology and concepts

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes

    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local property visits

    • Comfortable using computers and standard software (e.g., Microsoft Office)

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Completion of or enrollment in an Appraiser Trainee course or certification program

    • Familiarity with appraisal software or GIS tools

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

    • Prior experience in real estate, property management, or a related field
